Words Are Powerful

Proverbs 16:13 says, "Righteous lips are the delight of kings; and they love him that speaketh right."

The writer is explaining to his son that the key to opportunity and the door of influence lies an inch beneath your nose. Your words can bring life or death. They can bring healing, encouragement, and comfort or they can inflict pain, create strife, and cause confusion. They can give you access to people of prominence or they can close doors of opportunity and destroy potentially beneficial relationships. They can make others feel like a million bucks or as worthless as as screen door on as submarine. They can separate you from God or they can bring you into His presence. Words are powerful!
